Linda Lou Baird , 79, passed away on Sunday, April 16, 2017 at her home in Memphis, Indiana. She was born on October 16, 1937 to the late Everitt and Opal Broadus (Briner) in Sellersburg, Indiana. Mrs. Baird retired from Floyd Memorial Hospital in New Albany where she cared for patients as a Registered Nurse. She was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church in Memphis and an avid quilt maker. Mrs. Baird was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Baird and her brother, Bud Broadus.

Survivors include her sons, James M. Baird (Rebecca) of Sellersburg, Indiana; Steven W. Baird (Julie) of Jeffersonville, Indiana; Brian K. Baird of Martinsburg, Indiana; her sisters, Bea Niehaus and Violet Broadus, her grandchildren, Christopher Baird (Kristen); Travis Snawder (Jessica); Matthew Baird (Kimber); and her great grandchildren Calleigh, Ryan, Benny and Laney.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, April 20, 2017 at the Garr Funeral Home in Sellersburg with interment to follow at Silver Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 2:00 P.M. until 8:00 P. M. and on Thursday from 9:00 A.M. until the time of the service. Online condolences can be made at www.garrfuneralservices.com.
