Larry Wayne Kirtley

Larry Wayne Kirtley, of Sellersburg, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 12, 2026, at the age of 71. Born in Greenville, Kentucky, on May 10, 1955, Larry lived a life centered on family, loyalty, and the simple joys that meant the most to him.

Larry dedicated 46 years of hard work to BF Goodrich, now known as Lubrizol. Away from work, he loved cheering on Kentucky football, basketball, and volleyball whenever he had the chance. He was also a devoted Braves baseball fan and enjoyed both playing golf and watching the professionals play.

More than anything, Larry loved being present for his grandchildren. He could often be found in the stands at their school and sporting events, proudly watching Cameron and Chloe do what they loved. Those moments brought him great happiness, and his love for them was unmistakable.

Larry will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 51 wonderful years, Lisa Tandy Kirtley; his son, Chris Kirtley, and daughter-in-law, Kim; his daughter, Kim Kirtley; and the lights of his life, his grandchildren, Cameron and Chloe Kirtley. He is also survived by his sisters, Doris Sheehan and Teri Gibson, and her husband, Chuck.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Macel Geary Kirtley, and his sister, Bonita “Bunky” Warren.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 P.M. on Thursday, July 16, 2026 at Garr Funeral Home (7806 Highway 311, Sellersburg, Indiana) with interment to follow at Louisville Memorial Gardens West. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and on Thursday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service.
