Kitci Richard Schweinsberger was born in Moline, Illinois on November 30, 1948.  He died in Yreka, California on February 8, 2024.

He is survived by his beloved life partner, Joni Silva, and his loving family and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Richard A. Schweinsberger; grandmother, Henrietta Schweinsberger; mother, Sanchia V. Foiles, and brother, Sean Foiles.

Kitci grew up in Palo Alto, California, and attended UC Berkeley studying ecology.  He worked to preserve Mono Lake and loved backpacking in Yosemite.  After college, he managed an apartment building and later ran a moving, hauling, and handyman service employing many homeless men.  In retirement, he enjoyed gardening and helping Joni with her decorative painted furniture.  They both loved their many pets and wild animal neighbors.  Throughout his life, he was a kind and true friend to many.

Funeral services will held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, March 2, 2024 at the Garr Funeral Home (7806 Highway 311, Sellersburg, Indiana 47172) with interment to follow at Sellersburg Cemetery.
