Kermit  McClure, 90, went to be with his heavenly father on Sunday, August 09, 2015 at Clark Memorial Hospital in Jeffersonville, Indiana.  He was born on July 24, 1925 in Leitchfield, Kentucky to Douglas and Dora McClure. He retired from Pillsbury in New Albany, Indiana after 35 years of employment. Kermit honorably served his country in the United States Army during WWII. He was a POW survivor. Kermit was called to preach the word of God at a young age and done so until his final days. Kermit was a loving Husband, Father, and Grand Father that will be truly missed.  He was preceded in death by his wife Freida McClure, His son John McClure, Sr., his grand son, John McClure, Jr., and his great grandson, Derek Hayden.

Wife:               Louise McClure- Jeffersonville, Indiana

Sons:              Ron (Patty) McClure- New Salisbury, Indiana

Rick (Carolyn) McClure- Glendale, Kentucky

Daughter:      Valerie McClure Willis

Many Grandchildren and Great Grandchildren

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Thursday August 13, 2015 at the Garr Funeral Home in Sellersburg with interment to follow at Walnut Ridge Cemetery in Jeffersonville, Indiana. Visitation will begin on Wednesday from 4 to 8 pm and on Thursday from 11 AM until the time of service at the funeral home.
