Karen S. Bloomer , 67, passed away on Saturday, September 19, 2020 at the Harrison County Hospital in Corydon, Indiana. She was born on November 25, 1952 to the late James and Lida Miller (Spradiln) in New Albany, Indiana. Karen loved to attend bingo at the Elks Club Lodge 270 and the American Legion Auxiliary Unit 28 of New Albany. Her passions included horseback riding, horse racing and working in her flowers, but most of all spending time with her family. Karen was preceded in death by her son Gregory R. Bloomer, by her brother, Willard Miller, David Miller and by her sisters, Christina Cain and Charlene Miller.

Survivors include her husband, Bart Bloomer of Corydon, her son, Bart Bloomer, Jr. (Amanda) of Corydon, daughters, Jeanie Bloomer (Ronnie) of New Albany, Barbara Rager (Mike) of Henryville, brothers, Garland Miller of French Lick, Indiana, Ronnie Miller of New Salisbury, sisters, Susie Harrigan of Georgetown, Indiana, Mary Ann Miller of New Salisbury and Brenda Hubert (David) of New Salisbury. Karen also leaves behind 9 grandchildren, Alex Bloomer, Cory Bloomer, Hunter Watson, Mikey Rager, Caidance Rager, Denver Rager, Madison Rager, Ryder Rager, Shea Campbell and 1 great grandchild Gabe Bloomer.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, September 23, 2020 at the Market Street Chapel of Naville & Seabrook Funeral home (1119 E Market St, New Albany, IN 47150) with entombment to follow at Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany. Visitation will take place from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
