It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Karen Jane Terry, a cherished soul who left us on Wednesday, January 21st, 2026, at the age of 76. Born on Wednesday, August 31st, 1949, in Somerset, Kentucky, Karen brought warmth, kindness, and a vibrant spirit to all who knew her.

A long-time resident of Borden, Indiana, Karen spent her years living life to the fullest, surrounded by the beauty of family and nature. She dedicated her professional life as a skilled Pharmacy Tech, where her attention to detail and compassion for others made a significant impact.

Karen's passions reached far and wide, from her love for the outdoors and wildlife to her adventurous spirit with Hot Rod cars. She would often rescue injured animals, nursing them back to health with unwavering care. An enthusiast of junk shopping and remodeling, Karen found joy in turning old treasures into new beginnings. Her talent extended to the kitchen, where she poured her heart into writing her own cookbook, delighting family and friends with her culinary creations.

Family was the cornerstone of Karen's life, and she cherished moments babysitting her beloved grandchildren. She will be fondly remembered by her family, including her loving husband, Archie Terry, sons Chad Haas (Cindy), Nathan Haas (Leah), and Adam Haas, her step-daughters Delissa Miller (Danny), Christy Whail (Matthew), and Amanda Thomas (Drew), her mother, Dorothy Cook, her brothers Eddie Cook, Donald Cook, and Charlie Cook, and her sister Patty Cook. Karen reunites in peace with her father, Edwin Cook, and her brother, Jimmy Cook, who preceded her in death.

Friends and family are invited to honor and celebrate Karen's life at a visitation held at Garr Funeral Home (7806 Highway 311, Sellersburg, Indiana 47172), on Thursday, January 29th, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
