Judith Effie Eaton passed away peacefully on March 23, 2026, at the age of 82. Born in Davenport, Iowa, on September 20, 1943, Judith lived a life marked by dedication, love, and faith.
Judith was the daughter of the late George Sherry Ling and Wilda Helen Ling. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Alan C. Eaton. Her legacy continues through her family and the many lives she touched.
A devoted accountant, Judith committed much of her life to her profession as a bookkeeper and accountant. Her meticulous nature and unwavering work ethic earned her respect among her colleagues and clients. Judith's life outside of work was filled with joy, including a passion for square dancing and a steadfast faith. Judith was a cherished member of the Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church, where she found fellowship and shared her strong belief in God with the community.
She is survived by her son, Allen Brian Wilkirson, and his wife Anita; grandchildren Kevin Wilkirson, Amanda Wilkirson, Adam Wilkirson, and Sean Wilkirson. She will also be dearly missed by her twin sister, Jeani Wathen (George), and brother, George Ling and his wife Dixie. Judith's memory will endure in the hearts of her five nieces and nephews, who she adored.
Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation on Monday, March 30, 2026, from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm at Garr Funeral Home in Sellersburg, Indiana. A funeral service to celebrate Judith's life will be held on Monday, March 30, 2026, at 12:00 pm, also at Garr Funeral Home. Judith will be laid to rest at St. Paul Lutheran Church Cemetery in Olean, Indiana.
