Joanna Gale Crone , 61, entered eternal life on Monday, January 10, 2022 at the Baptist Health Floyd Hospital in Jeffersonville, Indiana. She was born on August 1, 1960 to Robert and Joann Crone (Rice) in Louisville, Kentucky. Gale attended church services at the Memphis Christian Church in Memphis, Indiana. While studying Industrial Maintenance at IVY Tech, Gale discovered her true passion for helping people. She switched paths and became a Certified Nursing Assistant. She worked in the behavioral health field until her own health required her to retire. In her free time Gale enjoyed her crafts, especially her Diamond Dotting. Her true happiness came from the quality time she spent with her daughters and her grandchildren. Gale was preceded in death by her father, Robert Crone.

Survivors include her daughters, Jennifer Wimp of Jeffersonville, Jackie Melton (Donnie) of Charlestown, Jessica Wimp of Jeffersonville, her brothers, George Crone, Sr. (Laura) of Salem, Indiana, Danny Crone (Scharlene) of Clarksville, Tennessee, John Crone, Sr. (Carolyn) of Florida, Darrell Crone (Debbie) of Clarksville, Indiana and Bruce Crone of Jeffersonville.  Joanna also leaves behind her 3 grandchildren to cherish her memory, Jonathan, Julia and Brady.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday January 15, 2022 at the Garr Funeral Home in Sellersburg with cremation to follow. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 9:00 A.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
