JoAnn Crone , 89, passed away peacefully on Friday, January 28, 2022 at Clark Memorial Hospital in Jeffersonville, Indiana. She was born on June 24, 1932 to the late Robert and Irma Rice in Memphis, Indiana. JoAnn was a member of the Bethel Baptist Church of Memphis. She was an avid bowler for most of her life. JoAnn started in the leagues back in the 1960s at the Silver Creek Lanes. She enjoyed fishing in her free time. JoAnn never missed a Sunday NASCAR race. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert "Bobby" Ray Crone, by her infant daughter, Catherine Crone and by her daughter, JoAnna Gale Crone.

Survivors include her 5 sons, George Robert Crone of Salem, Indiana, Daniel Ray Crone (Sharlene) of Chapmansboro, Tennessee, John David Crone (Carolyn) of Jasper, Florida, Darrell Pinckey Crone (Debora) of Clarksville, Indiana and Bruce Kershaw Crone (Dallas) of Jeffersonville, Indiana. JoAnn also leaves behind 23 grandchildren, 60 great-grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, February 1, 2022 at the Garr Funeral Home in Sellersburg with interment to follow at Sellersburg Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
