Joan Olga Seewer , age 92, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Thursday, October 14, 2021 at her home in Sellersburg. She was born on December 23, 1928 to the late Henry and Olga Gehring (Hutzli) in Louisville, Kentucky. Joan was a retired legal secretary. She was a member of the St. Marks United Church of Christ in New Albany. Joan was the ultimate Cub's baseball and Hoosier basketball fan. She thoroughly enjoyed tending to her flowers and keeping her yard neat as a pin. Joan will be remembered for her genuinely kind personality and the love she had for her family. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Walter Seewer, by her brother, Henry Gehring and by her sisters, Marie Wolf and Patsy Cornell.

Survivors include her two daughters, Lisa Neff (Levi) and Sharon Stoner (Paul) both of Sellersburg.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at the Garr Funeral Home in Sellersburg with interment to follow at Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany. Visitation will be held on Monday from 2:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and on Tuesday from 9:00 A.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home
