Jeshua James Tullis passed away peacefully on Saturday May 2, 2026. Jeshua was surrounded by his family as he took his last breath. There is no doubt that the mercy, grace, and love of Jesus Christ covered him and our family over these past few days. Jeshua is resting in God’s presence, and that is far better than this broken world we live in. He was preceded in death by his sister Alecia, who welcomed him into heaven with open arms.
Anyone who knew Jeshua knew that when he walked into a room, the room came alive. He was the center of attention without ever trying to be — quick with a story, quicker with a laugh, and impossible to forget. He spent his working years in drywall, taking pride in the trade and the work of his hands. But his greatest legacy he left behind here on earth were His four children — Olivia, Odiin, Ozias, and Lillian — He loved them and would want them to know that.
Over the last two years, Jeshua had also been growing deeper in his faith, and that journey brought a quiet new joy to his life that those closest to him will always treasure. We know that God was beside him, behind him, and most importantly with him now.
Thankful that God’s grace and mercy reaches farther than anything we’ve ever done or been through. There is hope beyond this world. There is life after death. There is restoration. We trust that the Lord has a plan and that His name will be glorified in this devastating loss. Jeshua will always be remembered as a son, father, brother, uncle, and most of all a friend to so many.
Left to cherish his memory are his parents, Phillip Tullis and Mary Pierce; his children, Olivia, Odiin, Ozias, and Lillian; his brother Andrew; sister Christy Hammond (Nick); nieces and nephews Austin, Alexis, Luke, Layla, Journey, Lucy, Ellie, Bella, Adalai; best friend Miranda.
Garr Funeral Home has been entrusted with his arrangements.
