Jerry Lee Broady, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 23rd, 2025, at the age of 69. Born on March 7th, 1956, in New Albany, Indiana, Jerry was a cherished resident of Memphis, Indiana, where he spent many happy years with family and friends.

Jerry is survived by his loving wife, "Snooky" Christina Broady; his sons, Chad Broady and Jason Broady; his brother, David Broady, and sister, Patty Murphy and her husband Mike. He will be fondly remembered by his grandchildren, Mya Freitas and her husband Kody, Tyler Broady, and Alana Broady, and his great-grandchildren, Hattie Grace Freitas, Tucker Freitas and Ezralee Broady.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Franklin Delano Broady and Hattie Louise Broady, his brother, James Franklin Broady, his nephew, Christopher Murphy, and his sister-in-law, Melissa Broady.

Throughout his life, Jerry worked as a dedicated project foreman, a role in which he took great pride and through which he forged many lasting friendships. In his free time, Jerry found immense joy in hunting and fishing, activities that brought him closer to nature and peace.

Jerry had a passion for Indiana University Basketball, particularly during the Bobby Knight era, and he never missed an opportunity to cheer on his team. His love for NASCAR was well-known, especially during Carl Edwards' racing days. Another of his great loves was gardening, where he could often be found nurturing his plants.

He loved nothing more than sitting on the front porch, keeping a watchful eye on the neighborhood, and letting a few colorful words fly at anyone who drove by too fast. It was his way of keeping things in order—and keeping life just a little more entertaining.

Visitation will be held at Garr Funeral (7806 Highway 311, Sellersburg, Indiana 47172), on Thursday, October 30th, 2025, from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm, followed by a funeral service on the same day at 4:00 pm.
