Jeffrey Clint Blanton , 57, passed away Sunday, May 28, 2017, at Baptist Health Floyd in New Albany, Indiana surrounded by his loving family.  Jeff graduated from Eastern High School in Pekin, IN in 1978 before earning his HVAC certification from Ivy Tech and Electronics degree from Kentucky Technical College.  He was the owner of Blanton's Heating and Air.  In 1992, he began working with General Electric as a Maintenance Technician.  He retired from General Electric in 2015.

He is survived by his wife of 33 years, Mary Hayes Blanton of the home, son Jeffrey W. Blanton (Crystina) of New Albany, daughter April Hines (Barry) of Shepherdsville, son Rictor T. Blanton (Ali) of Georgetown.  He took great joy in his grandchildren Cheyanne Blanton, Haylee Blanton, Ava Hines, and Haddy Blanton.  He was preceded in death by his father Rictor M. Blanton, mother Pearl Blanton, sister Sandy Blanton, and grandson Jeffrey M. Blanton.

A celebration of life will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, June 1, 2017 at Garr Funeral Home in Sellersburg, Indiana with interment to follow at Sellersburg Cemetery.  Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 3:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and on Thursday from 9:00 A.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
