Janice Housel Shields , 70, passed away at her home in Sellersburg, Indiana. She was born on December 16, 1948 to the late Kermit and Beatrice Housel (Barksdale). Janice worked at as a cosmetologist for many years. In recent years she worked as a Slot Machine Attendant at Horse Shoe Southern Indiana Casino. She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnnie Shields.

Survivors include her son, Travis Harrison (Linisa) of Sellersburg, step-sons, Stephen Shields of Florida, Buddy Shields of Memphis, Indiana, her sister, Sandra Turner of Sellersburg. She also leaves behind one granddaughter, Katlyn Heintz).

Visitation will held on Tuesday, September 17, 2019 from 12:00 P.M. until 1:00 P.M. at the Garr Funeral Home in Sellersburg with a graveside service to follow at Sellersburg Cemetery.
