James W. McCurry Sr ., 72, passed away on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at his home. He was born on October 2, 1944 to the late Kenny and Marie McCurry in Louisville, Kentucky. Mr. McCurry graduated from Danville High School where he played foot ball. He retired from Paramount Plywood in New Albany. Mr. McCurry was a great dad, husband, and PaPaw . He was preceded in death by his brother Danny McCurry. Surviving include his sweet wife, Brenda McCurry of New Salisbury, Indiana, his sons, James (Vicki) McCurry, Jr. of Hardinsburg, Indiana and Rick (Kris) McCurry of Palmyra, Indiana, his daughter, Pam McCurry of Marengo, Indiana, his brother, Tommy (Helen) McCurry of Louisville, Kentucky, his sisters, Nola (Jackie) Patton of Louisville, Kentucky, and Tina (Jerry) Sheppard of Louisville, Kentucky, his grandchildren, John, Monica, Rusty, Devon, Brittany, Brandon, Lacie, Joey, Jacob, Savannah, and his great grandchildren, Landon, Katelyn, Aaliyah, Daniel, Brantley, Riley, Jack, Aiden, Tyler, Kayleigh,Jaxon, Addalyn, and Connor.

A funeral service will be held on Friday January 20, 2017 at 3PM at the Garr Funeral Home in Sellersburg with interment to follow at Tunnel Hill cemetery in Edwardsville, Indiana.
