James "Jack" Mason Wigginton, Jr. , 84, entered eternal life on Saturday, July 29, 2023 at his home in Charlestown. He was born on June 14, 1939 to the late James and Evelyn Wigginton (Hourigan) in Springfield, Kentucky. Jack was a proud 1956 graduate of Louisville Male High School. Jack retired in 1994 from the United States Army where he honorably served his country for 27 years. He was an avid woodworker and a devout member of the American Legion Post 204 of Sellersburg. Jack was bestowed the Vigil Honor from the Boy Scouts of America in 1986. He loved his family and thoroughly enjoyed being a Pawpaw. Jack was preceded in death by his loving wife, Trudy I. Wigginton, by his brother, Donald Wigginton and by his sister, Ruth "Bunny" Medley.

Survivors include his sons, Jeffrey Wigginton (Karen "DIL2") of Charlestown, Mark Wigginton (Marcia "DIL1") of Lakeway, Texas, his daughter, Robin Wigginton of Clarksville, his sister, Brenda Phillips of Venice, Florida and his grandson, Eric Wigginton of Charlestown.

Visitation will be held from 12:00 P.M. until 4:00 P.M. on Saturday, August 5, 2023 at the Garr Funeral Home (7806 Highway 311, Sellersburg, Indiana 47172). Military honors will begin at 3:00 P.M. on Saturday. A celebration of life gathering will take place at the American Legion Post 204 (412 N. New Albany St, Sellersburg, IN 47172) following the visitation at the funeral home. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Legion Post 204.
