Obituary

James E. "Jim" Berry, native of Speed, Indiana cruised through the gates of Heaven on November 1, 2023. Born January 5, 1943, he's now reunited with his parents Cecil and Anna (Reed) Berry, and his brother Don Berry. He is survived by his wife of 56 years Pam (McKinley) Berry, daughter Alexandria Berry (Kyle Eisert), sister-in-law Becky (McKinley) Osburn, brother-in-law Barry Osburn, and brother-in-law Dennis McKinley. A graduate of Silver Creek High School Class of 1961, he began working for the Monon Railroad in 1962 and retired from railroading after 40 years of service. He served in the U.S. Army Reserve, was a member of NSRA, and a Kentucky Colonel. His one and only hobby was vehicles, which started as a kid and never stopped. He was a "Car Guy" through and through. He and Pam attended too many car events to count. Many took them out of the area, like the Hot Rod Magazine Power Tours. No formal service will be held. Expressions of sympathy in memory of Jim may be made to: Hosparus of Southern Indiana, 502 Hausfeldt Lane, New Albany, IN 47150.
