James A. Burton , 87, entered eternal life on Thursday, February 11, 2021 at his home in Memphis, Indiana with his loving wife by his side. He was born to the late Johnny and Edna Burton (Calhoun) in Somerset, Kentucky. James was the owner and operator of Burton Farm and Construction Equipment. He was very passionate about providing top quality equipment to his customers. James was preceded in death by his son, Jeffrey A. Burton

Survivors include his wife, Evelyn L. Burton of Memphis, Indiana, his son, Dennis Burton of Dothan, Alabama, his daughter, Alberta Sharp (Steve) of Pekin, Indiana, his siblings, Christine Luttrell, Walter Burton (Jan), Henry Burton (Janice Arnold), Elizabeth Hoyt (Larry) and David Burton (Yvonne).

James also leaves behind 7 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren to cherish his memory.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at the Garr Funeral Home in Sellersburg with interment to follow at Bowery Cemetery in Memphis, Indiana. Visitation will be held on Monday from 2:00 P.M. until 6:00 P.M. and on Tuesday from 11:00 A.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
