Henry Robert Campbell, a cherished husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on March 21, 2026, at the age of 75. A resident of Sellersburg, Indiana, Henry was born on Easter Sunday, April 9, 1950, in New Albany, Indiana.

Henry is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Mary Rife Campbell, of Sellersburg, who stood by his side throughout his life. He also leaves behind a loving family: his daughter, Melissa Peveler (Melvin); his grandchildren, Hunter Campbell (Addison Keaton) and Dakota Campbell; his great-grandson, Dalton; his brother, Paul Campbell (Cena); and sister, Theresa Wolford (Charles), and several nieces and nephews.  His legacy of love and strength will continue through them.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry D. and Mary Campbell, his sister Mary Rose Malott, and his brother Dennis "Bimbo" Campbell, who have undoubtedly welcomed him with open arms.

Throughout his life, Henry spent many years working in the construction industry a true "jack of all trades" who could build and fix just about anything. Henry was also known for his love of the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing, and turtling.

A proud member of the local community, Henry enjoyed lively games of cards at the Legion accompanied by a beer or two, where many friendships were forged over the years. His passion for classic cars, especially his treasured '55 Chevy, was matched only by his enthusiasm for drag racing his '71 Nova, where the roar of engines and the thrill of speed brought him immense joy.

Henry's family would like to express their deepest gratitude to the staff of Charlestown Place and Gentiva Hospice, and those who have supported them during this difficult time. Arrangements have been entrusted to Garr Funeral Home, and services will be held to honor Henry's life and legacy.

Visitation will be Friday, March 27, 2026 from 2:00 PM until 8:00 PM and again on Saturday March 28, 2026 from 9:00 AM until 10:30 AM at Garr Funeral Home, Sellersburg. Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2026 at 11:00 AM at St. Joe Hill Catholic Church, with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
