Hazel V. Elrod , 88, passed away on Wednesday, December 15, 2021 at Clark Memorial Hospital in Jeffersonville, Indiana. She was a native of Sellersburg, Indiana. Hazel was born on April 23, 1933 to the late Elmer and Hazel Grose (Lewis) in Georgetown, Kentucky.  She retired from her career with AT&T after 31 years, where she worked in operator services. She enjoyed reading, quilting, shopping and working her puzzles in her free time.

Survivors include her husband, Jerry Elrod of Sellersburg, her son, Daniel Elrod (Julie) of Clarksville, daughters, Teresa Hunsucker of Jeffersonville, Linda LaVon (Mike) of Charlestown, and Lisa Hixenbaugh of Jeffersonville. Hazel leaves behind 11 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren to cherish her memory.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, December 21, 2021 at the Garr Funeral Home in Sellersburg with interment to follow at Sellersburg Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Monday from 2:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and on Tuesday from 9:00 A.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
