Gloria Ann Hutchinson, a beloved resident of Sellersburg, Indiana, peacefully passed away on Saturday, September 26th, 2026, at the age of 94. Born on Sunday, January 24th, 1932, in New Albany, Indiana, Gloria was a cherished daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose kindness and commitment to her family and community left a lasting impact on all who knew her.

Gloria was predeceased by her loving husband, Phillip Hutchinson, her father James Keach, her mother Rose Keach, her son James Hutchinson, her daughter Patricia Hutchinson, her grandson Michael Hutchinson, and her brother James Keach, Jr. She is survived by her sons, John Hutchinson (Mary Anne), and Phillip Hutchinson III (Donna), her daughter-in-law Lynne Hutchinson, and her grandchildren Francis Hutchinson, Jessica Day, Douglas Hutchinson, Daniel Hutchinson, Chelsea Waddell, and Adam Hutchinson. Gloria was also blessed with great-grandchildren Sam Day, Emmett Day, Declan Day, Liam Hutchinson, Andrew Hutchinson, Finley Mackin, Emmilynn Mackin, and Kenny Waddell, all of whom brought great joy to her life.

A devoted homemaker, Gloria's early career began at Miller's Market, later known as Steve's Market, where she worked as a cashier. She was a proud lifelong member of the Sellersburg United Methodist Church, where her faith guided her throughout her life. Gloria was passionate about ceramics and known for her artistic talents. Her love for baseball was evident in her enthusiasm for watching her sons play and attending Louisville Bats games, complete with her favorite fried bologna sandwich.

Gloria relished her role as a mother and grandmother, treasured her outings with her friends in "The Group," and enjoyed attending concerts of David Phelps and the Gaithers. Her warmth and nurturing spirit will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Gloria's life during visitations at Garr Funeral Home (7806 Highway 311, Sellersburg, Indiana 47172) on Wednesday, September 30th, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm, and on Thursday, October 1, 2026 at the Sellersburg United Methodist Church (226 N. New Albany Street, Sellersburg, Indiana 47172) from 11:00 am until the time of the service. A funeral service will be held at 12:00 pm. Gloria will be laid to rest at Sellersburg Cemetery Following her funeral.
