Glenda Louise Perez-Castanenda, 48, of Scottsburg, Indiana passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, in Louisville, Kentucky.

Glenda was born on September 25, 1977 in Royal, Michigan. She was the daughter of Walter Hester Jr. and Jacqueline (Eddy) Porter. Glenda was a loving stay at home mother and was always there for her children who she loved dearly.  She also took great pride in being a loving grandmother to her grandchildren, and spending time making everlasting memories with them. She loved to talk about her beloved cat Poncho who was always by her side, along with her dogs.

She was preceded in death by her father, Walter Hester Jr., mother Jacqueline (Eddy) Porter, and step-father Marion Porter.

She is survived by her children Jacqueline Blakley, Brianna Cooley, and Aaron McIntosh. Sisters Sarah Hester and Kerri Davies. Grandchildren Addison Blakley, Maverick Wright, Emmaline Abner, and one on the way Baby M.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, December 11, 2025 from 12:00 Noon until 3:00 P.M. at Garr Funeral Home in Sellersburg, Indiana.
