IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Glen L.
Weir
October 7, 1938 – August 17, 2025
Glen L. Weir, a cherished resident of Borden, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 17, 2025, at the age of 86. Born on October 7, 1938, in Pekin, Indiana, Glen was a beloved father, grandfather, and friend to many.
Glen dedicated over four decades of his life to Roller Die and Forming Co. in Louisville, Kentucky, where he excelled as a Roller Die and Machine Operator. Known for his mechanical aptitude, Glen could often be found racing or working on a pit crew at the Sports Drome, passions that were only matched by his love for his Harley Davidson and the distinct roar of its engine.
Those who knew Glen remember him as a selfless individual, fondly recalling the ways he would speak of missing his friends and the joy he found in spending time with loved ones. He was a devoted father, described by all as the "most loving dad in the world."
Glen is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Arline Weir; his parents, Lloyd and Lorene Weir; his son, Glen Michael Weir; and grandson, Jacob Paul Bezy. He missed them deeply and his hope was to be reunited with them one day.
He is survived by his caring daughters, Sandra Bogatz (Daniel) and Sherry Clem (Jeff); his stepchildren, Edwin, Daylon, and Renee; as well as several grandchildren and great-grandchildren who brought him immense joy and pride.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during the visitation at Garr Funeral Home(7806 Highway 311, Sellersburg, Indiana 47172), on Thursday, August 21, 2025, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m. at the same location. Interment will follow at Hickory Grove Cemetery.
