Franklin Arthur Hutchinson went to be with the Lord on January 16, 2026 after 88 well-lived years. Frank was born on March 12, 1937 to Mary & Philip Hutchinson in Sellersburg, Indiana, and he was a hefty baby weighing over 12 lbs. Frank was often referred to as "Sonny" as his mother said he had a sunny personality. Frank resided his entire life in Sellersburg, attending Sellersburg Elementary School, Silver Creek Jr. High, and Silver Creek High School. He was a member of the 1955 basketball team, who were the first sectional winners in school history, and he enjoyed talking about it. He was inducted into the SCHS hall of fame. Frank graduated in 1955 and shortly after joined the United States Navy for a two year assignment.

After the Navy, he was employed by Kentucky Lithographing for many years until Kentucky Lithographing was sold and he then finished his career at Clarke American. Upon his retirement, Frank enjoyed gardening, yard work, and riding his John Deere tractor. In August 1959, Frank married Wanda Offutt, and they were married for 66 years. Frank and Wanda attended Sellersburg Church of Christ where Frank served as Sunday School Superintendent, Deacon, and Elder for many years. Frank's love for the Lord and His church was of greatest importance to him.

Frank was preceded in death by his brothers, Phil Hutchinson and Norman Hutchinson.

Frank and Wanda have two sons, Seth and his wife Wendy, and Paul and his wife Kelly. He also has two grandchildren, Mariah Groton (Teddy), Caleb Hutchinson, and a great grandson Rory Groton. They were a great source of love, pride, and joy to Frank. He is survived by his sister, Rosemary Coats, by his brother, David Hutchinson, and his sisters-in-law, Gloria Hutchinson and Pat Hutchinson, many nephews and nieces, and his church family.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, January 21, 2026 at the Garr Funeral Home (7806 Highway 311, Sellersburg, Indiana 47172) with interment to follow in Sellersburg Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. and on Wednesday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
