Evelyn Marie Pinion Pope Friedel, 83, entered eternal life on Friday, April 3, 2020 at Baptist Health Floyd.  She was a retired Nurse's Aid and attended Northside Christian Church.  Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, Tom and Susie Mae Pinion, son, Perry Pope, husbands, Raymond Pope and Charles Friedel, brothers, Henry, Ray and Thomas Pinion,a grandson, Chris Sweet, sisters, Jean and Elizabeth, step-children, Linda, Steven and Michael.  Surviving are her daughters, Janice (Bob) Sweet, Galena, Patricia Cole, New Albany, Cindy (Stoney) Plowman, Salem, Susie (Paul) Nelly, Mauckport, step-children, Debbie and Sherie, grandchildren, Casey, Mandi, Chad, Michael, Matthew, Trisha, Danielle, Kari, Renne, Roy, Tammy, Donnie, Melissa, Emily, Kyle, Katie, Kristen and eleven great-grandchildren.  Due to the current pandemic situation a private funeral service will be held Thursday with burial to follow at Silver Creek Cemetery.  Visitation will be held on Wednesday at the Garr Funeral Home in Sellersburg.  Online condolences can be made online at www.garrfuneralservices.com.
