Estel J. Pierson , 81, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 18, 2022 at his home in Jeffersonville, Indiana. He was born on June 3, 1940 to the late Estill and Helen Marie Pierson (Sarles) in Milltown, Indiana. Estel retired from Dupont of Louisville where he worked as a supervisor. He was a member of the Eastside Christian Church.   In his free time he enjoyed the outdoors. He was an avid RV'er, he and Janice enjoyed traveling throughout the United States. He loved his dogs and loved to feed the squirrels. Estel was quite the craftsman. He made many beautiful handmade canes.  Estel was preceded in death by his daughter, Lori Pierson Dixon and by his brother, Larry Pierson .

Survivors include his loving wife, Janice Pierson, his sons, David Pierson (Betty), Joseph Pierson (Melissa), his daughter, Andrea Spurgeon (Steve) and his sister, Patricia Hublar. Estel also leaves behind 8 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren to cherish his memory.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Tuesday, March 22, 2022 at the Garr Funeral Home in Sellersburg with cremation to follow. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 12:00 P.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
