Emogene Tomes , 95, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Wednesday, April 20 2022.

Emogene was born on April 10 1927, in Love, Kentuck (Butler County) to Sylvester and Nellie Tomes.

Emogene retired in 1991 from Kitchen Kompact. Imogene was a member of Scottsburg Church of Christ.

He was preceded in death by his wife Glendolyn Rhea Tomes (Embry), by his two infant sons, by a grandson, by his parents and all of his siblings, and three daughters- in - law.

Emogene is survived by his seven children, Carolyn Howard "Grandma Red" (Bob), Steve Tomes, Timmy Tomes, Jimmy Tomes, Stanley Tomes, Pam Leftwitch  (Bill) and Kermit Tomes. He also leaves behind thirteen grandchildren, eighteen great  grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 P.M. on Wednesday, April 27, 2022 at the Garr Funeral Home in Sellersburg with interment to follow at Flatwood Cemetery in Morgantown, Kentucky. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 9:00 A.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
