Ellen Doughty Wessel, 77, entered eternal life on Monday, August 23, 2021 at Autumn Woods Health Campus in New Albany.  She was a self-employed Beautician for many years and a member of Speed Memorial Church.  Ellen was preceded in death by her husband, Kay Wessel, son, Drew Wessel, twin brother, Michael Doughty, mother Esther Doughty and her beloved dogs, Caesar and Tweed.  Surviving is her son, Nathan (Dana) Wessel, Sellersburg.  Funeral services will be held 3PM Friday at the Garr Funeral Home in Sellersburg.  Visitation will be from 12Noon until the time of service.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Speed Memorial Church, 328 US-31, Sellersburg, Indiana 47172.  Online condolences can be made at www.garrfuneralservices.com.
