Elijah Isaiah Scott King , beloved son of Lora and Kenneth King, peacefully transitioned into eternal life on December 28th, 2023, at Clark Memorial Hospital in Jeffersonville, Indiana. His life began on December 3, 2001, gracing the world with his presence.
From the moment Elijah entered this world, Elijah's heart overflowed with love, expressed through his radiant smile, tender touch, and joyful facial expressions. His unique way of connecting with others resonated deeply, touching the lives of all who knew him.
Elijah's journey was marked by resilience and courage. Despite medical expectations, he defied the odds, celebrating his 22nd year, surpassing the predictions of doctors who initially believed differently. His physical form never hindered the beauty and purity of his spirit, which shone brightly in every moment of his life.
Elijah's zest for life illuminated each day, teaching those around him about perseverance, unconditional love, and the power of the human spirit. His impact was profound, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of everyone fortunate enough to share in his life.
In Elijah's passing, may his unwavering spirit and the memories of his love continue to inspire and resonate deeply within those who were touched by his remarkable presence. He leaves behind a legacy of strength, love, and enduring courage that will forever be cherished and remembered.
Elijah was preceded in death by his brother, Isaiah Ruggles, by his paternal grandfather, Ronald King and by his maternal grandfather, James Young.
Survivors include his parents, Lora and Kenneth King of Jeffersonville, Indiana, his brothers, Jackson and Greysen King, his sisters, Hannah, Emily, Natalie and Madilyn King, his paternal grandmother, Faylene King of Hope, Indiana and his maternal grandmother, Rachel Young of Indianapolis, Indiana
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, January 5, 2024 at Garr Funeral Home (7806 Highway 311, Sellersburg, Indiana 47172). Visitation will be held on Friday from 12:00 P.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
