Dorothy "Dot" Rosella Vick, 89, passed away on Monday, March 25, 2019 at Baptist Health Floyd in New Albany, Indiana. She was a resident of Guerin Woods in Georgetown, Indiana. Dorothy was born on October 22, 1929 to the late Robert V. and Mary Gertrude Schindler (Kaelin). Dorothy worked at Fisher's Packing in Louisville, where she retired after 28 years. She was a member of St. Joe Catholic Church and the American Legion Post #204 Ladies Auxillary. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Delbert Vick, siblings Mary Louise Schindler Campbell, Robert Frank Schindler, John Ollie Schindler, and Almeida Marie Schindler, and 3 great-grandchildren.

Dorothy is survived by sons, Delbert D. (Marilyn) Vick, Sellersburg, Donald M. (Lisa) Vick, Sellersburg, daughter Sharon Smiddy, Sellersburg, 8 grandchildren, 16 great- grandchildren, and 4 great-great grandchildren.

A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, March 29, 2019 at St. John Paul II Catholic Church (St. Joe Campus) in Sellersburg with interment to follow in St. Joe Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Garr Funeral Home on Thursday from Noon until 8 P.M. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. John Paul II Catholic Church.
