Sellersburg, Indiana formerly of Jeffersonville

Doris Lewis, 92, entered eternal life on Thursday, April 13, 2017, at Clark Memorial Hospital.  She was an active member of "Opal Jewells" Sunday School Class and Sellersburg First Baptist Church.  Doris also volunteered in the church office for ten years.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Fountain "Curtis" Lewis and a sister, Evelyn McBroom.  Surviving are, son, Larry (Sherry) Lewis, Carrollton, Kentucky, daughters, Carole McKee and her husband Tom Turvey, Cincinnati, Ohio, Judy Brashear, Sellersburg, five grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren and one, great-great grandchild.  Funeral services will be held 1PM Monday at the Garr Funeral Home in Sellersburg with burial to follow at Walnut Ridge Cemetery.  Visitation will be Monday from 9AM until the time of service.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Sellersburg First Baptist Church, 7912 Hwy 311, Sellersburg, Indiana 47172.  Online condolences may be expressed at www.garrfuneralservices.com.
