Donald "Ken" Slone, 71, passed away on Friday, August 20, 2021 at Baptist Health Floyd.  He was very active in Louisville and New York City Jazz Scenes, an instructor at the Jamey Aebersold Summer Jazz Camps throughout the world and a published Author of various Jazz books.  Ken was preceded in death by an infant sister, Sandra Slone.  Surviving are his parents, Donald and Mary Lou Slone, brother, John Robert Slone, sister, Janet Streander and her husband Thomas J. Nichols, nephew, Jonathon Streander, niece, Cassie Slone, great-niece, Taylor Streander, great-nephew, Jackson Streander.  Visitation will be held Friday from 1-8PM at the Garr Funeral Home in Sellersburg.  Online condolences can be made at www.garrfuneralservices.com.
