Donald Lee Lanham, a beloved resident of Clarksville, passed away peacefully on Monday, September 28th, 2026, at the age of 87. Born on a Saturday in Springfield, Kentucky, Donald was the cherished son of the late Arthur and Mary Belle Lanham.

With an extraordinary dedication to his work, Donald served over 40 years at Hillerich & Bradsby in manufacturing, where he was renowned for his perfect attendance record. Beyond his professional life, he was a man of many talents and interests. For over 50 years, he maintained a successful lawn service, hearkening to his love for being diligently active and engaged with his community. Donald also had a passion for old cars, a hobby that reflected his admiration for craftsmanship and history.

Donald’s legacy stretches beyond his work and hobbies; he was a man adored by family and friends for his immense kindness, generosity, and unwavering love. He was someone who didn’t have a bad bone in his body, always willing to lend a helping hand and offer his love to those around him. He built benches and playsets for his beloved “park,” showing the playful and caring side of his character.

He is survived by his loving children: Donita Spalding (Jessie), Lisa Lanham of Clarksville, Timothy Lanham (Lora) , and Gary McKenzie. He also leaves behind his brothers, Jerry Lanham and James Richard Lanham, his sister Judy Mattingly (David), as well as 8 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren, who will all cherish his memory and the love he shared.

Donald was preceded in death by his dear wife, Wilma Jane Lanham, along with his siblings Ronnie Lanham, Will Lanham, Patsy Milburn, Bobby Lanham, Pearlie Mae Spalding, Sarah Jean Shewmaker, Kenny Lanham, Jackie B Lanham, and Betty Boblitt.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during visitation at Garr Funeral Home (7806 Highway 311, Sellersburg, Indiana 47172) on Friday, October 2nd, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 6:30 pm. A funeral service will follow at 6:30 pm.
