Diana came to us on May 9, 1947 and left us to go to heaven on Sunday, October 29, 2023.  Everyday in between was a gift for all who knew her.  You couldn't get enough of her contagious smile and laugh.  She enjoyed her family, fun, warm weather, and sun. To say she had a dislike for cold weather was putting it lightly. Diana enjoyed traveling with her family and you could always count on Bill to take her on an adventure or even a long drive for dinner where she would ask if a packed lunch was needed. Diana loved meeting new people. She was a member of St. John Paul Catholic Church where she also worked at the school for 22 years. She loved being around the kids. She is survived by her husband, Bill, who she met at Jerry's restaurant. That love lived on for over 57 years. The result was two beautiful daughters, Dana Fisher (Dennis) and Tina Thomas (Eric) and two wonderful grandchildren, Peyton and Olivia, who her world revolved around.  She is also survived by her sister, Rita Sappenfield (Bob) and brothers-in-laws, Paul Jones and John Jones (Diana) and sisters-in-law, Nancy Ruseell (Mike) and Terri Jones (who helped care for her until the end). Diana was the best wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend.  She will be greatly missed, including her famous coconut cream pie and salmon patties.. Our lives will never be the same without our "Diana Lou". In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Visitation will be on Thursday, November 2, 2023 at St. John Paul Catholic Church at 2253 W. St. Joe Road, Sellersburg, IN 47172 from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. with a funeral mass at 11:30 a.m.
