Deanna G. (Hardison ) Owens , 69, a long time resident of Clarksville, Indiana , went to her Heavenly Father, Friday, February 26, 2016 at Kentucky One Health Hospital.  She was born in Louisville, Kentucky on January 9, 1947 to the late Rachel Thomas and Arlo Hardison.
Ms. Owens served her community for decades as an IRS Approved Tax Preparer where she never failed to offer her clients professional and expert service.  A favorite project was a publication, "The Exchange," that DeAnna took much pride in publishing.  She was intelligent, diligent, faithful, and loved her family dearly.  She was extremely proud of her son George for serving in the U.S. Navy for 17 years. DeAnna Hardison married George Owens on December 18, 1964.  Preceding her in death were Mr. Owens, her parents, an infant sister, Alice Louise, her brother-in-law, Charles Hunt, and just this past September, a sister, Theresa Marlene (Hardison) Bennett. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her daughter, Teresa Michelle Owens of Clarksville, Indiana, her son George Arlo Owens (Erika) of Los Angeles, California, a grandson Christopher Daniel, and a granddaughter Georgia Ariel. Others who will feel this loss include her sisters Charlotte Hunt of Henryville, Indiana and Pam Krider (Phil) of Louisville, Kentucky, her brothers Robert Wayne Hardison (June) of Shepherdsville, Kentucky and Thomas Allen Hardison (Peggy Sue) of Louisville, Kentucky, a dear neighbor and friend, Elaine Mauk, as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

A  Funeral service will be held at Garr Funeral Home, Sellersburg on Thursday March 3, 2016 at 11:00 A.M.  Visitation will be on Wednesday from 10:00 AM until 8:00 PM and from 9:00 AM until the time of service on Thursday.
