Borden, Indiana

Dean Potts , 74, passed away on Monday, April 3, 2017 at his home in Borden. He was born on December 9, 1942 to the late Homer and Leola Potts in Borden, Indiana. Mr. Potts retired from Navistar in Indianapolis, Indiana where he was a Millwright. He was a member of the Sojourn Community Church in New Albany and the New Providence Lodge in Borden. Mr. Potts was preceded in death by his loving wife of 53 years, Shirley May Potts, and his brother, Mike Potts. He leaves behind his son, Kevin (Cindy) Potts of New Albany, his daughter, Michelle (Darren) DeHate of Sellersburg, his grandchildren, Tyler (Amy) DeHate Trent (Andrea Wright) DeHate, Hunter Potts  and Kelsey Potts, his brother, Vick (Pat) Potts of Borden, his sisters, Joyce Baker and Betty Kearney both of Borden.

A funeral service will take place at 12:00 Noon on Friday April 7, 2017 at the Garr Funeral Home in Sellersburg with cremation to follow. Visitation will take place on Thursday from 11:00 A.M. until 8:00 P.M.  and on Friday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service.
