Daisy Marie Welsh Stone, 94, entered eternal life on Tuesday, April 6, 2021 at her home.  She was born on October 25, 1926 to the late Joseph Welsh and Golda Marie Conley Welsh.  She graduated from Wiley High School, attended St. Anthony Hospital School of Nursing and Indiana Central University.  Daisy was a current member of Speed Memorial Church and had previously attended Temple Congregational U.C.C in Marion, Indiana.  She worked at Marion General Hospital Tucker Vocational School-LPN Program and served at the Federal Navy Program for wartime nursing.  World War II ended so she served one year as mission nurse for Redbird Mission in Kentucky.  Daisy was proud that she had traveled all fifty states and seven countries.  She was preceded in death by her parents, loving husband, Samuel Wayne Stone, daughter, Lee Stone and a brother, Joseph "Paul" Welsh.  Surviving are her children, Vicky Drake, Jana Cole, Rebecca Stone, Samuel Stone, Daniel Stone, grandchildren, Adam Drake, Joshua Drake, Sara Drake Budd, Rachel Drake, Cheri Cole, great-grandchildren, Jenna Holle, Tristan Delanges, Sophia Budd and Vivienne Budd.  Cremation was chosen by the family and a Memorial Service will be held 11AM Saturday at Speed Memorial Church.  Visitation will be Friday from 4-8PM at the Garr Funeral Home in Sellersburg.  The family requests no flowers to be sent, however, memorial donations can be made to Speed Memorial Church, 328 US-31, Sellersburg, Indiana 47172 or National Park Foundation, 1500 K.
