Clyde Lee Elder , 78, passed away on Friday, September 8, 2017 at his home in Charlestown, Indiana. He was born on April 8, 1939 in Sanger, West Virginia to the late Thomas and Roberta (Crisp) Elder. Mr. Elder retired from Joseph Automotive Group. He was a member of the Calvary Christian Church located in Sellersburg, Indiana. Mr. Elder was preceded in death by his two brothers, Fred Elder and Russell Elder.

Survivors include his loving wife of 51 years, Patricia Elder of Charlestown, Indiana, his son, Martin Elder (Vickie) of Sellersburg and his daughter, Leslie McLeod (Bobby) of Biloxi, Mississippi. Mr. Elder also leaves behind six grandchildren to cherish his memory, Rebecca Elder, Micah Elder, Sarah Elder, Dylan Cowan, Abigail Cowan and Tabitha Cowan.

Funeral services for Mr. Elder will be held at 1:00 P.M.  on Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at Calvary Christian Church (605 S Norman Dr, Sellersburg, IN 47172) with interment to follow at Sellersburg Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service at the church. Memorial Contributions can be made to: Calvary Christian Church.
