Clifton "Toots" James Eve , 97, passed away on Saturday, April 28, 2018 in Sellersburg, Indiana. He was born on September 23, 1920 to the late Edward and Minnie (Brown) Eve in New Albany, Indiana. Mr. Eve was a Self-Employed Farmer and a member of the St. Joseph Hill Catholic Church in Sellersburg. He was preceded in death by his loving wife Mary Elizabeth Eve and his two brothers, Pete Eve and John Eve.

Survivors include his sons, Eddie Eve (Angela Williams) of Sellersburg, Richard Eve (Diane) of Borden, Indiana, Dennis Eve (Donna) of Scottsburg, Indiana, his daughters, Helen Eve of Clarksville, Indiana, Kathleen Eve of Memphis, Indiana, Teresa Burgin (Ed) of Nabb, Indiana, grandchildren, Beka Seymour, Christy Brown, Bernadette Eve,  Ritchie Eve, Ronnie Eve, Jacob Eve, Megan Eve, Martin Bayer, Michael Bayer, Amber Korte, Sarah Burgin, Melissa Burgin, and Emma Burgin . Mr. Eve also leaves behind 13 great-grandchildren.

A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, May 4, 2018  at St. John Paul II Catholic Church (St. Joseph Hill Chapel)  in Sellersburg with interment to follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 2:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at the Garr Funeral Home in Sellersburg.  Memorial contributions can be made to Clark County 4H (9608 Hwy 62, Suite 1 Charlestown, Indiana 47111), St. John Paul Catholic Church (St. Joseph Hill Chapel) (2605 W.
