Clara D. Wigand , 49, of Evansville, IN passed away Thursday, October 12, 2023. She was born in Louisville, KY on April 7, 1974 to her parents, Wayne and Linda K. Hobbs.

She grew up in Sellersburg, Indiana and was valedictorian of the 1992 class at Silver Creek High School. She went on to graduate with honors from the University Of Southern Indiana School Of Nursing and spent her entire nursing career serving patients in Evansville. She was a very active member of Forest Hills Wesleyan Church, where she worked in the youth ministry and the Praise Team for many years.

Clara was preceded in death by her brother, Stephen A. Hobbs.

She is survived by her son, Benjamin Thomas Wigand; her parents, Wayne and Linda Hobbs; and her sister, Dr. Angela J. Crone (Scott).

Friends and family may gather for a visitation on Tuesday, October 17, 2023 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm at Alexander West Chapel, 2100 W. Illinois Ave, Evansville, IN. A funeral service will follow the visitation at 2:00 pm. Her final resting place will be at Sellersburg Cemetery, in Sellersburg Indiana, on Thursday, October 19, 2023 at 1:00 pm.
