Christine Ruth Binder passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, July 2, 2026, at the age of 49. Born on Tuesday, August 10, 1976, in New Albany, Indiana, Christine's life was a testament to love, dedication, and kindness.

Christine was a dedicated Certified Nurse Assistant for over 24 years. Her passion for caregiving extended beyond her professional life, as she touched the lives of many patients and coworkers, who fondly remember her compassion and warmth. Known for her gentle nature and unyielding dedication, Christine made an indelible impact in the healthcare community.

She had a passion for yard sales, seeing them as opportunities to find unique treasures and enjoy simple pleasures. Christine also had a creative spirit, often spending her free time painting statues and ceramics, which brought joy and color into the lives of those around her.

Above all, Christine was a devoted mother to her two sons and eagerly awaited the arrival of her first grandchild, Lane, who she spoke about with great anticipation and joy. Her love for her family was unparalleled, and she found her greatest happiness in their company.

Christine is survived by her loving spouse, Gerald Binder; her beloved sons, Kordell Sowers, and his wife Haley and Konner Sowers and his wife Zoe; her mother, Ann Branham, and her husband Donald Branham; her sister, Paula Board; and her cherished grandson on the way, Lane Sowers. She was preceded in death by her father, Dallas E. Carroll; her brother, Dallas "Bug" Carroll; and her daughter, Destiny Carroll, who she longed to be reunited with.

Friends and family are invited to celebrate Christine’s life during the visitation at Garr Funeral Home (7806 Highway 311, Sellersburg, Indiana 47172) on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, from 2:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and on Wednesday, July 8, 2026 from 9:00 A.M. until 12:00 P.M. A funeral service to honor Christine will be held at the same location on Wednesday at 12:00 p.m.
