Charles "Charlie" Whitaker, Jr., 58, passed away on Monday, January 14, 2019 at Baptist Health Floyd.  He was a self-employed mechanic, enjoyed farming, camping, playing music and croquet.  Charlie was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Whitaker, Sr., and Viola Miller and step-father, Ellis Miller.  Surviving are his two sons, Chris (Jennifer) Evans, Pekin, Kyle Whitaker, New Albany, sisters, Joyce (Richard) Park, Sellersburg, Deborah (Randall) Johnson, Austin, Carol Steward, Memphis, Gwen (John) Vogt, grandchildren, Jordan, Alexis and Zachary.  A Memorial Service will be held 5PM Saturday, January 19, 2019 at the Garr Funeral Home in Sellersburg.  Visitation will be Saturday from 10AM until the time of service.  In lieu of flowers memorial donations, memorial donations can be made to J.B.
