Obituary

Charles H. Stewart , 86, entered eternal life on Sunday, June 11, 2023 in Louisville, Kentucky. He was born to the late William Harvey and Anna Louise Stewart (Fischer) in Memphis, Indiana. He was a member and former deacon of the Sellersburg Church of Christ. Charles was a self-employed entrepreneur in the printing industry. He served as the president of Kentucky Lithographing for 5 of the 29 years that he was with the company. Charles founded Stewart Graphics DBA Voluforms in 1983 and later co-founded Superior Print in 1988. In 1991 Stewart Graphics DBA Voluforms was awarded the Inc. Magazine rating of 261 of 500 fastest growing companies. Charles served as a board member of the NBFA for many years. In his early years, Charles was a very talented baseball player. He was awarded several accolades and was scouted by the major leagues. Charles enjoyed following Indiana University Basketball and Chicago Cub Baseball. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Kaytryn Parrish, by his brothers, Eugene and William Stewart and by his sisters, Mable Stewart, Francis Leach and Kathryn Raines.

Survivors include his loving wife of 66 years, Jane Ann Stewart (Beyl) of Prospect, Kentucky, his sons, C. Michael Stewart (Susan) of New Albany, Indiana, Mark T. Stewart (Brenda) of Louisville, Kentucky, his daughters, Dianna Beyl (Jerry) of Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina, Kelly Parrish (Mark) of Prospect, Kentucky and his grandchildren, Gabriel Beyl, Ashley Walsh, Zachary Stewart, Chase Stewart, Alyssa Decker, Tyler Stewart, Conley LaBrake, Kendra Stewart, Keaton Stewart, Cayleigh Stewart, Kassidy Stewart, Macy Parrish and Gabriella Parrish. Charles also leaves 15 great-grandchildren to cherish his memory.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Friday, June 16, 2023 at the Sellersburg Church of Christ (213 S New Albany St, Sellersburg, IN 47172) with interment to follow at Sellersburg Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Garr Funeral Home (7806 Highway 311, Sellersburg, Indiana 47172) on Thursday from 2:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and on Friday from 9:00 A.M. until the time of the service at the church.
