Charles Wayde Byrd Sr., a resident of New Albany, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 6, 2025, at the age of 50. Born on September 23, 1975, he was known for his warm heart, outgoing nature, and a lifelong dedication to both his career and family.

Charles grew up in the Kentuckiana area, where he developed a passion for connecting with people—a talent he channeled into a successful career in car sales. He enjoyed the years he spent selling cars, he was recognized not only for his expertise but also for the genuine relationships he built with clients and colleagues alike.

A man of diverse interests, Charles found joy in life's simple pleasures. He was an avid bowler, an enthusiastic fisherman, and enjoyed the occasional thrill of a bingo game. Known for his sharp eye for bargains, he loved hunting deals on Temu.

Family was at the heart of Charles's world. He will be deeply missed by his children, Sierra Zaimah (Quinten), Serina Fanning (Nathan), and Charles Byrd, Jr. (Kenzie), who cherished his wisdom and guidance. He is also survived by his father, Ronald Lee Byrd (Patricia), and brothers, Greg Byrd and Todd Byrd. Charles was preceded in death by his cherished mother, Barbara Ellen Byrd, his loving spouse, Cynthia Kaye Byrd, and his brother, Ronald Byrd, Jr.

Charles's love extended to his grandchildren—Karter, Karson, Kaye Kaye, Nate, Kaysen, Brady, Evertyn, and Deacon—whom he adored and found immense pride and joy in watching grow.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Wednesday, November 12, 2025 at the Garr Funeral Home (7806 Highway 311, Sellersburg, Indiana 47172) with interment to follow at Kraft Graceland Memorial Park. Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 10:00 A.M. until 8:00 P.M. and on Wednesday from 12:00 P.M. until the time of the service at the funeral home.
