Obituary

Charles Curtis Rudd , 72, of Memphis, Indiana passed away on Wednesday, March 9th 2016 at Sacred Heart Medical Center in Spokane, Washington.
Born in Paducah, Kentucky- he was preceded in death by his wife of 48 years- Mary Maxine (Beasley) Rudd; parents, Aaron and Ruby (Overstreet) Rudd; and sisters Gerry Wilson and Roberta Sutton. He enjoyed his work as a machinist: retiring from Tube Turns Technology in Louisville, Ky in 2004 after 30 years of tool and die making. In his younger days he worked as a cosmetologist, a hospital orderly, a golf caddy and was in the Air Force. He moved to Mead, Wa in 2013 to live with his daughter. A supportive father and devoted grandfather, he took a special interest in his family education and creative pursuits. He was quick-witted, hardworking and generous. He loved his home in Indiana, his wife and sitting on the deck on a hot summer day. Charles is survived by his daughter Robin M. Rudd, son-in-law (Brandon) Stroup, two grandsons--Avery Rowan Stroup and Braeden Zane Stroup, of Mead, Washington; sister Marcie Bergstrom of Cedar Rapids, Iowa and two brothers- David Rudd and Aaron Rudd Jr. of Paducah, Ky. A memorial service will be held at the Sellersburg Cemetery in Sellersburg, Indiana this summer.
