Carl Robert Denton, 83, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 1, 2015 at Clark Memorial Hospital in Jeffersonville, Indiana. He was born on December 30, 1931 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Robert and Janie Denton. Carl honorably served his country in the United States Army. He retired from Mechanics Laundry after 42 years of employment as a plant manager. Carl was a member of the Church At the Crossing located in Indianapolis. He was a member of the VFW post 6128 and the American Legion post 331, both located in Brownsburg, Indiana. Carl was a member of the Masonic Grand Lodge of Indiana No. 241 and Murat Shriners, both located in Indianapolis. Carl was preceded in death by both of his parents, his brothers Bill Denton and Chuck Denton.

Donald (Scarlett) Denton- Indianapolis, Indiana

Mike (Carol) Denton- Danville, Indiana

11 Grandchildren, 6 Great-Grandchildren

A Funeral service will be held at 3PM on Friday December 4, 2015 in the chapel of the Lincoln Memorial Gardens Cemetery (6851 S. Indianapolis Rd., Whitestown, Indiana 46075 ) Visitation will be  held in the chapel from 2PM until the time of service. Entombment to follow after funeral service.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Maple Manor Christian Home  (643 W.
