Candida Jean Beck, 50, born December 20, 1975, in Louisville, Kentucky, to Mickey Glisson and Thelma Hutchinson, passed away September 5, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.

Candida was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend whose greatest joy in life was her family, especially her grandchildren. She cherished every moment spent with them and created memories they will carry with them for years to come. She was always her children’s biggest supporter, believing in their dreams and encouraging them every step of the way.

Candida enjoyed working with stage hands throughout the Louisville area and treasured the many friendships and connections she made along the way. She loved live music and especially enjoyed listening to Candlebox, Godsmack, Jamey Johnson, Eazy-E, and Taylor Swift. She also loved watching Chris play the drums.

Candida had a deep appreciation for the beauty and adventure life had to offer. She loved the beach and the Smoky Mountains, where she especially enjoyed looking for bears. She enjoyed hiking, boating, fishing, and looking for river rocks on 18 Mile Island, tattoos, and especially road trips with her family. She had a special fondness for butterflies and birds, and her favorite flower was the red rose.

At home, Candida enjoyed watching some of her favorite television shows while enjoying her coffee which she LOVED tremendously, including The Bold and the Beautiful, Young Sheldon, Yellowstone, Ghosts, and Fire Country. She dearly loved her dogs, Lucy and Peanut. One of her greatest joys was watching her son play baseball.

Those who knew Candida will remember her for her loving heart, enormous personality, independent spirit, and the tremendous love she had for her family. She was incredibly strong and determined, especially throughout her battle with cancer. Candida fought so very hard, facing each challenge with courage and an unwavering determination to get healthy and overcome her illness. Her strength and perseverance were an inspiration to those who loved her. Her memory will live on through the many lives she touched and, most especially, through her children and grandchildren, who were so dear to her heart.

Candida was preceded in death by her sister, Kim Glisson “BooBoo.”

Candida is survived by her loving husband of 24 years, Chris Beck; Children, Dezirae Ramos (Armando), Brianna Conatser (Mikey), Devin Beck (Kenze); and Brianna Beck; grandchildren, Dawson Pinion, Nora Pinion, Eli Spainhour, Adriana Ramos, Myla Sue Smith, and Alaina Ramos; parents, Mickey Glisson and Thelma Beckman (Terry); sister, Crystal Glisson “Siso”; niece, Daya Glisson; and mother-in-law, Linda Taylor.

Candida will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
