IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Bryan "Scott"
Galloway
February 28, 1960 – March 7, 2026
Bryan "Scott" Galloway, beloved husband, son, father, grandfather, and friend, peacefully passed away on Saturday, March 7th, 2026, at the age of 66. Born in Washington, Indiana, on Sunday, February 28th, 1960, Scott was a resident of Borden, Indiana, where he lived a life full of love, laughter, and adventure.
Scott will forever be remembered by his loving wife, Darleen Galloway , and his devoted mother, Mary Jane Isaacs. He is also survived by his children: son Erick Galloway (Kaitlyn), daughter Terra Baker, and daughter Chassie Engleman. Scott took profound joy in his role as a grandfather to his grandchildren, Landon, Eleanor, Hailey, Xander, Chloe and Gabriel.
Preceded in death by his father, Dennis Lee Galloway, Scott is now reunited with him in eternal peace.
He spent 17 fulfilling years working as a custodian at Pleasant Ridge Elementary School in Charlestown, part of the Greater Clark County Schools district, and later worked as a security guard at Physicians Medical in his retirement. In his personal life, Scott had a passion for camping, fishing, and spending time in his garage turning wrenches. Known by his CB radio handle "Happy Hippie," he was always quick to share a story or lend an ear, often accompanied by a cold beer in hand and music in the background.
Scott was an automotive enthusiast who cherished his beloved 2009 Mustang, which he meticulously cared for and only drove in perfect weather. He had a profound love for cars and boating, which brought joy and lasting memories to his family and friends.
Throughout their marriage, Darleen and Scott shared a playful and affectionate bond, often referring to one another as "Archie" and "Edith," a nod to the beloved television couple that always made those around them smile. That lighthearted tradition became one of the many ways they expressed their love for each other. While their time together created countless cherished memories, it is certain that "Edith" will deeply miss her "Archie."
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Scott's life during a visitation at Garr Funeral Home (7806 Highway 311, Sellersburg, Indiana 47172) on Thursday, March 12th, 2026, from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm. A funeral service will follow on Friday, March 13th, 2026, at 11:00 am at the same location. Scott will be laid to rest at Charlestown Cemetery following the funeral service.
