It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Brian Joseph Worman, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend. Brian passed away on Monday, April 13th, 2026, at the age of 55, in Jeffersonville, Indiana, where he resided with his devoted wife, Barbara Lynn Worman.
Brian was born on Tuesday, November 10th, 1970, in Louisville, Kentucky. He attended Silver Creek High School and later graduated from Indiana University Southeast with a degree in Business and went on to build a successful career as a Retail Manager, known for his dedication and integrity.
Brian is survived by his loving wife, Barbara Lynn Worman, and his cherished children: daughter Brittney Worman and son Brett Worman. He was a devoted "Grampy" to his grandchildren, Briella and Cassien Worman, who were the light of his life. Brian's parents, Ronald L. Worman and Margaret A. Worman, as well as his brothers, Gregory Worman (Kim) and Reece Worman (Shantell), mourn his loss. His lifelong best friend, Tim Woods (Cindy), along with many adored nieces and nephews, will forever hold him in their hearts.
He was predeceased by his grandparents, Ralph and Barbara Bullerdick, and Shirley and Eula Mae Worman. Brian leaves behind cherished memories of family gatherings and fond recollections of his uncles and parents-in-law, Kathryn and John Kovachik. His beloved dog Ridley greeted him in eternal peace.
Brian's passions in life were diverse and vibrant. He was a enthusiast of muscle cars, a passion he pursued fervently in his younger years, delighting in building and racing them. He loved spending time with his grandchildren, who affectionately called him "Grampy," as well as his grand dogs Kiwi, Spike, and Draco. A fan of Dungeons and Dragons, Brian was known for his love of fantasy adventures. He also took great pleasure in following University of Louisville sports and cherished moments spent with his dogs.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects at the visitation on Sunday, April 19th, 2026, from 12:00 pm to 5:00 pm, at Garr Funeral Home (7806 Highway 311, Sellersburg, Indiana 47172). Visitation will also take place on Monday from 11:00 am until the time of the funeral service at 1:00 pm at the funeral home. Brian will be laid to rest at the Silver Creek Cemetery following the funeral.
