Betty J. Buckles , 81, entered eternal life during the early morning hours of Sunday, July 24, 2016, at the Hospice Inpatient Care Unit- Norton Pavilion. She was born on October 28, 1934 to Zeanes and Abigail Bashlor in Waynesboro, Virginia. Betty worked in retail for over 30 years and was a member of the Church of the Open Door located in New Albany, Indiana. She was preceded in death by both of her parents, her son, Daniel H. Buckles, her sister, Billie Jean Fasig, and her brother, Stuart M. Bashlor.

Ruth (Mark) Zapp- Jeffersonville, Indiana

Brother:                      Z. Robert Bashlor- Fishersville, Virginia

Sister:                       Cherie Floyd- Stanton, Virginia

9 Grandchildren, 10 Great-Grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews

Funeral services will be held at 11A.M. on Thursday, July 28, 2016 at the Church of the Open Door (1221 Silver Street New Albany, Indiana 47150) with burial to follow at Graceland Memorial Park in New Albany. Visitation will be on Wednesday from 4P.M. to 8 P.M. at the Garr Funeral Home in Sellersburg and on Thursday from 9A.M. until the time of the service at the church.
